Türkiye’s signature on the fair

Annika Klar, General Manager of Hannover Fairs Turkey Fuarcılık A.Ş., stated that Hannover Fairs Turkey, on the one hand, organizes 10 fairs with its business partners, the majority of which are focused on the manufacturing industry, and on the other hand, organizes participation from Turkey in the fairs organized by Deutsche Messe in various countries of the world. “The fair, which hosted more than 4,000 participants from different continents and countries last year, will maintain this stability this year as well. Turkey will be represented by nearly 140 companies at the fair with the support of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) and the organization of Hannover Fairs Turkey. Türkiye continues to develop day by day in production and exports. Companies that produce and export in the industrial field attract attention with their investments in manufacturing, employment and R&D processes. The key to this success lies in the consistent efforts of the companies. Turkish industry is growing day by day with developing industrial facilities, increasing added value, growing capacities and sustainability-oriented initiatives. Turkish industry, which does not stop its production and continues to invest in technology despite global economic fluctuations, also stands out in international fairs. “Companies that actively participate in business negotiations through HANNOVER MESSE find opportunities for new connections, projects and collaborations,” he said.

Domestic producers have been producing uninterruptedly since 1992 at HANNOVER MESSE

Stating that HANNOVER MESSE is the most important meeting point in the world for the industrial sector, Mehmet Develioğlu, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, said, “As the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, we have been bringing our industrialists to the global showcase with the HANNOVER MESSE fair without interruption since 1992. Today, we are very excited to take part in this productive and future-oriented platform and to reorganize the national participation organization on behalf of our country. Participation in the fair means; Being more competitive means finding more export opportunities and achieving more production and employment. HANNOVER MESSE fair, which will open its doors for the 77th time this year and keeps the pulse of the world industry, is an organization to which we attach great importance as the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce. Fortunately, the seeds planted here have further strengthened the global connections of the sector. Turkey’s participation area and number of participants in Hannover are increasing every year. In 2023, Turkey became the 3rd largest foreign participant after the host Germany in the number of participating companies at the fair. We will take part in HANNOVER MESSE 2024 with 81 participants in five separate halls of 1,800 square meters. “In addition, more than 140 of our companies will participate in the fair individually and represent Turkey and the power of the sector,” he said.

Norwegian Ambassador to Ankara, Andreas Gaarder, said that they were very honored and excited to take part in the HANNOVER MESSE Fair as a partner country and gave the following information: “With more than 100 years of experience in managing natural resources correctly and in renewable energy and green transformation processes, Norway is unique, especially in clean energy production.” is located at one point. Additionally, as a country with a highly qualified workforce, Norway is in a collaborative position regarding long-term partnerships. Norway, which has pioneered the green industrial transformation, is a country that has produced the world’s first ship powered by liquid hydrogen and has been working on electric car innovation and sustainable wind industry for many years. On this occasion, we know that Turkey is also working to achieve net zero emissions in its 2053 target. We believe that cooperation between Norway and Türkiye in the energy and maritime sectors can be improved. We think that Norway’s technological solutions may be suitable for Turkey in order to develop cooperation between the two countries in this sense. I would like to state that we would be happy to share our knowledge and collaborate on the transition to net zero emissions. I encourage our stakeholders in Turkey to attend this year’s HANNOVER MESSE and invite them to visit the two Norwegian pavilions. Norway’s technological solutions could be very suitable for Turkey and HANNOVER MESSE will be a great opportunity to establish new connections and increase Norway-Turkey harmony.“
