Minister of Industry and Technology Kacır hosted the Machinery Manufacturers Association

• Machinery Manufacturers Association (MİB) visited the Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır with the participation of the Board of Directors and its members. During the meeting; Important discussions were held on the problems and expectations of the sector, investment promotion, digitalization and qualified employment.

Machinery Manufacturers Association (MİB), which has been continuing its activities in the entire machinery sector since 1990 to protect the interests of domestic machinery manufacturers and support domestic machinery production, visited the Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır.

During the visit attended by MIB Board of Directors and members; Discussions were held on the problems and expectations of the machinery industry, investment promotion, digitalization and qualified employment.


Emphasis on working together

During the meetings, which were extremely productive, Minister Kacır gave instructions for the Ministry of Industry and Technology and MIB to work together on the mentioned issues, and evaluations were made regarding the future of the sector.

Expressing his gratitude to the Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır for his solution-oriented approach to the sector and his support, MIB President S. Emre Gencer said, “In the second century of our Republic, we continue our work to make our country’s machinery manufacturing sector better and more competitive in the international arena. As MIB, while leading the growth journey of our domestic machinery manufacturers in the world, we are in constant contact with our relevant ministries in terms of practices that will pave the way for the sector. In this sense, especially accelerating the digital transformation of the sector, efforts to comply with the European Green Deal regulations, reorganizing our current incentive system with an understanding that will accelerate the transformation of the ‘medium and large-scale enterprise’-oriented structure, reorganizing the Domestic Goods Communiqué to prevent its abuse, increasing the need for equity financing. We had a nice meeting with our esteemed minister on important issues such as needs and employment of qualified workforce in the sector. We would like to express our gratitude to him for the support he has given us in this regard. “As MIB, we will rapidly continue our work that will contribute to the development of the sector,” he said.
