Baku Steel Company, the largest metallurgical company in the Caucasus region, has successfully completed its SAP S/4HANA transformation project in collaboration with Nagarro Turkey, marking a significant milestone in its digital transformation journey. The Azerbaijani company, which produces rebar, pipes, and various steel products, has achieved a more integrated, agile, and data-driven structure in its 25th year thanks to this project, which encompasses three facilities: BSC, Azerboru, and AzFerAl. This has allowed the company to consolidate all its core business processes onto a single platform.

Nagarro Turkey General Manager Cenk Salihoğlu commented on the project: “With our experience gained both locally and internationally, we develop solutions tailored to our customers’ needs; we combine our global capabilities with a field-specific approach. We have reflected the experience and sectoral knowledge gained from projects implemented in different geographies into Baku Steel Company’s transformation project. The iron and steel sector is characterized by high operational complexity and a strong need for integration. We are delighted to have holistically restructured the business processes of Baku Steel Company, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary.”

Scalable Transformation Model

Implemented at a time when digitalization is crucial in creating a competitive advantage in the manufacturing sector, this project enabled end-to-end visibility into operational processes while also accelerating decision-making mechanisms. Thanks to the SAP S/4HANA infrastructure, standardization in business processes was achieved, creating a sustainable and scalable transformation model across the organization.

This approach directly contributes to our company’s sustainable growth and international competitiveness. While achieving higher efficiency in all our operational processes, we also created a strong infrastructure for advanced technology applications to be implemented in the future.”

Integrated Business Processes on a Single Platform
