The most comprehensive gathering of the mining sector, the Mining Türkiye Fair, has opened its doors for the 12th time
The Mining Turkey Fair, one of the most established and comprehensive gatherings of the mining sector in Turkey, opened its doors for the 12th time with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey, Abdullah Tancan, officials from the Foundation for the Development of Domestic Mining (YMGV), and numerous sector representatives.
Held at the Istanbul Tüyap Fair and Congress Center between April 8-11, 2026, the fair brings together sector professionals from a wide range of fields, from mining to tunnel construction, machinery and equipment to construction machinery.
Organized by Tüyap Tüm Fuarcılık Yapım A.Ş. and realized in cooperation with the Foundation for the Development of Domestic Mining (YMGV), the fair, held every two years and consistently growing, is among the most important international platforms of the sector. Bringing together mining machinery manufacturers, mine owners, engineers, technical decision-makers, construction machinery manufacturers and operators, and public institutions under one roof, the Mining Turkey Fair’s visitor profile consists of mining site operators, investors, technical managers, and academics.
In today’s world, where efficiency, operational safety, and cost management are critically important, the fair provides a strong business development platform by offering visitors the opportunity to examine new technologies on-site and make direct contact with manufacturing companies.
Turkey in a Very Important Position
Speaking at the opening of the fair, the Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey, Abdullah Tancan, pointed out that mining is not only an economic activity but also one of the cornerstones of development, industrialization, and energy transformation. Noting that demand for critical minerals is rapidly increasing today, and that mining plays a strategic role in many areas from clean energy technologies to the defense industry, from digitalization to infrastructure investments, Tancan emphasized that Turkey, with its geological diversity and rich mineral potential, holds an important position in this field. Tancan continued his remarks as follows:
“As the Ministry, our priority is to bring our domestic resources into the economy in an environmentally friendly, sustainable, and value-added manner. In this direction, we are increasing exploration activities, encouraging the use of new technologies, and continuing our efforts to increase the international competitiveness of our sector. With a sustainable mining approach, we adopt a production model where environmental impacts are minimized and occupational health and safety are ensured at the highest level. The Mining Turkey Fair, as an important platform bringing together all stakeholders of the sector, contributes to these goals. I believe that this organization, which offers great opportunities for the introduction of new technologies, the development of collaborations, and the increase of information sharing, will bring new investments to our sector and further strengthen Turkey’s power in mining.”

The Fair’s Global Identity is Strengthening
Tüyap Fairs Construction Inc. General Manager İlhan Ersözlü noted that the Mining Turkey Fair, in its 12th edition this year, has become one of the largest fairs in our country and a strong organization ranking among the top five fairs in the world in its sector, with over 800 participating companies in a total area of 60,000 square meters across 10 halls. Ersözlü stated, “This year, we are hosting visitors from over 80 countries at our fair. More than 90 of our participating companies are international firms directly participating from different countries. This further strengthens the global identity of the fair every year. We aim to offer new business opportunities to our participants through the purchasing delegations and bilateral business meetings we organize. We are transforming our fair from just a trade platform into an experience and interaction center. In this context, in the Mining Hub we have created, we offer our visitors a different fair experience with open pit simulation, remotely controlled mining machinery experience, and special networking areas. We believe that Maden Türkiye will continue to strengthen its position as a strong brand followed on a global scale in the coming period.”
One of the Most Important Gatherings Not Only in Turkey but Also in Eurasia
Ali Emiroğlu, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Foundation for the Development of Domestic Mining (YMGV), also stated that the Maden Türkiye Fair has shown a structure that grows and develops with each organization, and that today it has become one of the most important mining gatherings not only in Turkey but also in the Eurasian region. Emiroğlu stated, “This fair is no longer just an exhibition space; it has become a multifaceted platform that shapes the future of the sector, fosters collaborations, develops trade, and strengthens knowledge sharing. It is expanding its scope every year with B2B meetings, international delegation programs, and new generation exhibition practices. The mining sector is one of the fundamental elements of our economic independence, industrial strength, and development. The effective and efficient use of domestic resources is of great importance in this respect, and the Mining Turkey Fair makes a significant contribution to this process by bringing together all components of the sector. The strengthening of academic and industry collaboration through concurrently held events such as the Balkan Mineral Processing Congress is also of great value.”
Mining Hub: Experience-Oriented Exhibition Area
One of the highlights of this year’s fair, the Mining Hub, offers visitors an experience-oriented exhibition area by bringing together three different concepts.
In the “Demonstration Area – You Take Control” section, visitors can experience a real-world operation process by using remotely controlled mining machinery in an open-pit simulation. In the “Mining Talks – The Stage Belongs to the Participants” area, companies can directly present their products and services to their target audience, while the “Mining Cafe – The Perfect Time to Connect” section offers a space for visitors to relax and take a coffee break, while also providing a natural environment for interaction and business meetings for industry professionals.Furthermore, the mining machinery displayed in the open area of the fair is also among the areas attracting significant visitor interest.
A Massive Organization Spanning 60,000 Square Meters with 10 Indoor Halls and Outdoor Areas
The fair, held in a total area of 60,000 square meters, including 10 indoor halls and outdoor areas, is remarkable for its scale. Offering one of the widest ranges of products and services in the sector, the organization stands out as a powerful B2B platform enabling direct business connections between participating companies and mining operations.
