As the electric vehicle market grows, the impact of charging infrastructure is evaluated not only in terms of accessibility but also in terms of the source of the electricity used. Eşarj, Turkey’s first electric vehicle charging network operator, wholly owned by Enerjisa Enerji, has contributed to preventing 123 million kg of carbon emissions by the end of 2025 thanks to charging services provided with renewable energy certified with YEK-G. This environmental impact is equivalent to approximately 25,000 fossil fuel vehicles not being on the road for a year, and Eşarj holds the title of being the first charging network operator in Turkey to have a green energy certificate.

Eşarj, Turkey’s first electric vehicle charging network operator, wholly owned by Enerjisa Enerji, focuses on the energy sources that drive the development of charging infrastructure in the growth process of electric mobility. Providing charging services entirely from renewable energy sources, Eşarj approaches this within a holistic framework extending from source to wheel.

In Turkey, where the number of electric vehicles has nearly doubled in the last year, this rapid transformation has significantly increased the demand for charging station networks; This marks a new era where the share of fossil fuel vehicles in the total vehicle fleet will gradually decrease. Eşarj, contributing to this transformation with its investments in fast charging stations and customer experience, is the first charging operator in Turkey to possess a green energy certificate, documenting that the electricity used at its stations is sourced from renewable sources.

Thanks to charging powered by renewable energy, Eşarj has contributed to preventing 123 million kg of carbon emissionby the end of 2025; this impact is equivalent to approximately 25,000 fossil fuel vehicles not being on the road for a year.

Sustainable mobility shaped by customer experience

Eşarj develops customer experience not from behind a desk, but by listening to electric vehicle users and incorporating feedback from the field. User needs during the charging process are decisive in reflecting new station investments, not only through digital solutions such as Eşarj Auto and the Travel Planning feature, but also through direct user input such as location suggestion collection. In this way, clean energy becomes not only an environmental choice but also a fast, easy, and reliable experience for the user.

Aydilek: “The most important factors determining the success of e-mobility are trust and sustainability”

Emphasizing that they contribute to preventing carbon emissions while offering the possibility of charging electric vehicles with YEK-G certified energy, Eşarj General Manager Yakup Aydilek made the following statements regarding the issue: “Electric mobility is now a rapidly scaling transformation in Turkey. While the number of electric vehicles was around 185,000 at the end of 2024, this figure exceeded 373,000 as of December 2025; in the same period, the number of commercial charging sockets also increased from 26,000 to over 38,000. This picture clearly shows that the need for investment in charging infrastructure will increase even more in the coming years. As Eşarj, we are acting with the responsibility that comes with being the first charging operator to start this business in Turkey. We believe that the environmental benefit of electric mobility is only meaningful when charging is provided with 100% renewable energy; we adopt a clean energy approach from source to wheel. In this growing and increasingly competitive market, what makes the difference is not only the infrastructure but also the user experience. Our customers By listening and developing solutions, we address growth together with a responsible consumption approach; with the goal of a Better Future for All, we aim to make sustainable mobility a natural part of daily life.
