The Electrical and Electronics Engineering Congress (EEMKON), which has hosted more than 10,000 participants since 2015, will be organized by the Istanbul Branch of the Chamber of Electrical Engineers (EMO) in collaboration with Hannover Fairs Turkey at the Istanbul Congress Center on January 14-15, 2026. A signing ceremony for Turkey’s most comprehensive and prestigious gathering in the fields of engineering, technology, and innovation was held with the participation of Burak Daşdemir, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Istanbul Branch of the Chamber of Electrical Engineers (EMO), and Belkıs Ertaşkın, Deputy General Manager of Hannover Fairs Turkey.

“EMO holds an important position in Turkey”

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Burak Daşdemir, Chairman of the Istanbul Branch of the Chamber of Electrical Engineers (MMO), emphasized that EMO, with over 78,000 members, is one of Turkey’s most established professional organizations. Underlining EMO’s significant position in Turkey, Daşdemir said, “EMO, under the umbrella of the Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects, has a broad and powerful organization that brings together electrical, electronics, control, and biomedical engineers under one roof. While protecting the rights of our colleagues, our chamber also works to ensure that the profession benefits society, the environment, and the country. In this respect, it is our duty to shape the future of engineering
“We have a critical mission in this regard,” he said.

”Turkey’s largest engineering meeting”

Emphasizing that EEMKON is one of the organizations that most strongly reflects EMO’s vision, Daşdemir said, “The Electrical and Electronics Engineering Congress (EEMKON), one of the most significant reflections of this mission, is one of Turkey’s largest engineering gatherings. First held in 2015 and hosting over 10,000 participants to date, the congress fosters strong interdisciplinary interaction by bringing together academia, industry, and the public sector on the same platform. This year, the fourth edition of the congress, we are placing special emphasis on young engineering candidates and collaborations with universities.”

”EEMKON 2026 will address a broad range of topics, from industrial digitalization to artificial intelligence, from renewable energy to smart grids, and from cybersecurity to biomedical engineering. Academic papers will showcase the knowledge that will shape the future of the industry, while collaborations with universities will engage young engineering candidates in the process. This will create a strong synergy between academia and industry,” he said.

”EEMKON 2026 is hosting Turkey’s digital transformation vision.”

Daşdemir, emphasizing the role EEMKON will play in Turkey’s digital transformation journey, said: “In this era when the rapid transformation of artificial intelligence and technology is reshaping societies, EEMKON 2026 is hosting a vision meeting that will significantly contribute to the strategic steps Turkey will take in this transformation. When the energy of our youth, the knowledge power of academia, and the application capacity of industry come together, we will build the engineering of the future together.”

EEMKON 2026 focuses on seven main topics

Belkıs Ertaşkın, Deputy General Manager of Hannover Fairs Turkey, stated that EEMKON 2026 will bring attendees the latest developments in critical areas such as energy, telecommunications, cybersecurity, smart cities, digital health, and biomedical engineering. Ertaşkın noted that the congress agenda will highlight renewable energy and energy storage technologies, industrial automation and robotics, smart cities and smart buildings, and digital transformation security and data protection. She continued, “EEMKON 2026 offers brands and attendees unparalleled visibility, direct business development opportunities, cross-sector access, and thought leadership. We have important topics on the agenda for the congress.” ”The latest developments will be discussed across a wide range of topics, from energy and sustainability to renewable energy and energy storage technologies, from telecommunications and next-generation connectivity to industrial automation and robotics, from cybersecurity and data protection to smart cities and smart buildings, digital health, and biomedical engineering.
