SOCAR Turkey CEO Elchin Ibadov said: “As SOCAR Turkey, Turkey’s largest foreign investor and the largest integrated industrial group, we are pleased to host the Board of Directors meeting of TÜREB. As we continue our energy investments, our Petkim Wind Power Plant, operational since 2017, provides renewable energy with 51 MW of installed capacity and 45 MW of licensed capacity, meeting a significant portion of Petkim’s electricity demand and directly contributing to reducing carbon emissions. Our group company, SOCAR Terminal, has become a strategic logistics hub for the export of wind energy equipment to Europe. Wind energy is not only a source of electricity generation; it is also a strategic lever for Turkish industry and exports. I hope that the decisions taken at this meeting of TÜREB, which is carrying out important work to harness Turkey’s wind potential for the economy and support investments in this area, will provide new perspectives for the sector, strengthen collaborations, and open doors to new opportunities.”
